family activities at dakin dairy farms
Looking for fun family activities to do in Sarasota & Bradenton, FL?
Our Dakin Farm Tour is one of the most unique family activities in the Sarasota and Bradenton area. Join us for an experience that creates lifelong memories. Bring the family and your friends to learn “Where Milk Comes From” and how milk travels from the cow to the bottle. After, taste the difference of our fresh Dakin milk!
First, tour the Milk Parlor and get a firsthand look at how a cow is milked and see where we store our products. Then, follow the flow into the plant itself and learn about pasteurization, bottling, and cheese-making.
Then, take a hayride around the farm and through the free-stall barns! Tour perks include tasting our chocolate and whole milk and making your own butter. You’ll also get to feed the resident livestock while learning about calves, goats, and sheep. These tours are educational in addition to entertaining! Take advantage of our tours for school field trips or group tours. Simply gather your group and get ready for a hands-on experience that will teach you about the production of milk and the benefits our grass-fed cows offer!
Our farm tours are family activities that will create long-lasting memories. Additionally, we offer our farm as a venue for a variety of other family activities, including birthday parties, seasonal specials, and more. Also, if you are lucky you may even see a new calf being born.
